The University of Cape Town (UCT) Press was relaunched on Thursday, 19 October during a hybrid event held at the Chancellor Oppenheimer Library on Upper Campus. In this video scholars and authors of various titles now available via open access share their thoughts on this landmark moment.

With the relaunch of the UCT Press, one of the main goals is to pivot to open access publishing, while also maintaining print-on-demand publishing. To date, UCT Press has published close to 200 titles that range in subject matter, including archaeology, biotechnology, economics, gender studies, politics and psychology.
