Prof Joan Hambidge gives a message on behalf of UCT academic staff retiring from UCT in 2021

After 29 years at the University of Cape Town (UCT), Prof Joan Hambidge bids farewell to the university. She delivered a message on behalf of UCT academic staff retiring in 2021.

Joan was a lecturer and researcher in the Afrikaans and Netherlandic Studies department within the School of Languages and Literatures. She is also a celebrated Afrikaans poet, literary critic and author.
