When Dr Suzall Timm decided to focus on waste collecters in Cape Town for her doctoral thesis, she uncovered a mound of fascinating material. Timm graduated with a PhD in criminology on 19 December 2015.

Last ceremony closes a chapter
The 18h00 ceremony on 19 December, the largest of the three bumper ceremonies, closed an abridged graduation season at UCT following nationwide university shutdowns and the postponements of exams.

Much to celebrate on graduation day
The air of celebration was palpable at the afternoon ceremony of UCT's graduation day. In receiving their degrees, graduands from the Faculty of Health Sciences reached a significant milestone, their reward for years of hard work and sacrifice.
