Penguins help raise funds for Red Cross Children's Hospital

14 October 2002
Fluffy toy African Penguins are available for a donation of R110 each to help raise funds for the rebuilding of the Red Cross Children's Hospital's trauma unit, as part of the City of Cape Town's 350 Commemorative Year celebrations.

The current trauma unit, which treats 10 000 patients each year, needs to be rebuilt and refurbished in order to cope with the increasing numbers of children who are victims of a range of trauma-related injuries.

The toy penguins are available at the Western Cape Tourism Board in Burg Street, Blue Cape Media & Marketing and the offices of the Children's Hospital Trust. For information, please call the Children's Hospital Trust at 021-686-7860.
