Inkqubo eNtsha yaBahlohli beziFundo abaQalayo (NAPP) ikhuthaza, phakathi kwezinye izinto, ukuqonda okucacileyo kobandakanyeko noquko kunye nearhente kwiYunivesithi yaseKapa (UCT).

Oku ngokukaSekela Tshansela uNjingalwazi Mosa Moshabela njengoko ebebambe iqela lika2025 ngoLwesine, umhla we12 kweyoKwindla. “Iarhente yakho yeyokuba uxhamle kwiziko elifana nelethu, elikhuphisana kakhulu. Kuhlala kukhethekile kuthi ukusingatha abahlohli abatsha bezifundo kuba sityala imali eninzi kuphuhliso lwabafundi bethu,” utshilo uNjingalwazi Moshabela.

Amanqaku aphambili ekugxilwe kuwo yi-NAPP abandakanya izibonelelo nezakhono ezisisiseko eziyimfuneko kuphuhliso njengabahlohli, abaphandi namalungu oluntu lwase-UCT; kunye nokuqhelaniswa nokufundisa, ukufunda, iteknoloji, kunye neendlela zovavanyo zeklasi zokufundela zemfundo ephakamileyo. Le nkqubo iqhutywa liZiko loPhuhliso leMfundo ePhakamileyo (CHED).

“Into malunga nokufundisa isekubeni yakhelwe phezu kwengcamango yabanye abahlohli kwaye senza izinto ezisekelwe kubumi obusebenzayo bezemfundo. Kuhambo lwethu njengabahlohli, sikwakwinkqubo yokufunda, kwaye kunokuba nzima ukwenza izinto ngokwakho, yiyo loo nto inkqubo yokwazisa nophuhliso yenzelwe ukunciphisa umthwalo kolu hambo [ungahambi wedwa],” utshilo.

“Uninzi lwenu luza kuba kule ndima kwiminyaka ezayo. Uza kuba nexhala malunga neentetho ekufuneka uzinike; uza kuba nexhala malunga nabafundi ekufuneka ubabeke esweni; iimvavanyo kunye neemviwo ekufuneka uziphawule... le ndlela yokwenza yenye yendlela oza kuhamba kuyo... ukuqinisekisa inkqubela yabafundi bethu.”

Ijajimenti evakalayo

Wongeze wathi: “Kuthi, imalunga nokukwazi, ukubhiyozela kwaye ukwazi ukucinga ngawe xa kukho amathuba. Usenokuba ngumntu omnye, kodwa ubeka isitena kwisakhiwo esifana ne-UCT, kwaye kubalulekile ukuba wazi ukuba siya kubona. Ngeentloko zefakhalthi yakho kunye nenkxaso abayinikezela kuwe nakumasebe akho, siyazi kwaye siyathemba ukuba uya kufumana ubunkokeli kunye nesikhokelo sokuphumelela kweli ziko.”

Bekukho iintlobo ngeentlobo zemidla yokufundisa abafundi abanomdla kuyo ngoku, njengophando malunga nokusetyenziswa kobukrelekrele bokwenziwa i-(AI) ziingcali; uphando malunga nokuzinza kwesosiyosipeyishiyali(socio-spatial)  kunye neendlela zemveliso yenkcubeko, ukugcinwa, kunye nokuqhubekeka; ukhubazeko olubandakanyayo, ukhathalelo olugxile kwisigulane nosapho; ukufikelela ngokulinganayo kwiinkonzo zonxibelelwano kubantu abathetha iilwimi ezininzi nabangenazo izixhobo zokusebenza; ukujonga imiphumo yokufudukela ezidolophini (i-microplastics kunye nengxolo) kunye nokutshintsha kwemozulu (ubushushu) kwiintaka kunye nezilwanyana ezincancisayo(mammals), kubandakanywa neenkwenkwezi ezibomvu eUCT.

UNjingalwazi uKasturi Behari-Leak, umphathi we-CHED, uthe: “I-NAPP imalunga nokusebenza okunentsingiselo, indlela zokwenza ezivakalayo kunye nemilinganiselo yabantu. Siya kucela ukuba uqiniseke ukuba indlela ofundisa ngayo yenza umahluko. Le nkqubo ikwamalunga nokubamba ukuntsonkotha kwehlabathi kunye nabafundi bakho kwindawo yemfundo ephakamileyo eguquguqukayo. Inkqubo iyasebenza.

“I-NAPP idala indawo yokubambela apho abahlohli abatsha banokuzisa iziqu zabo bonke. Banokuzisa imibuzo yabo, amathemba noloyiko lwabo, yaye asinangxaki yokungena kwiincoko ezinzima. Siye saba nezinto ezintsha ezintathu kule minyaka mibini idlulileyo: ukuzibandakanya ne-AI – sijongana nayo ngemibuzo yokuziphatha, hayi uloyiko. Eyesibini imalunga neeprojekthi zethu zokufundisa eziziintlobo ngeentlobo, ezisa injongo kubahlohli ezisebenzisana nomntu osuka ngaphandle kwefakhalthi yabo ukujongana nomngeni wokufundisa ofanayo. Eyesithathu ijikeleze ukomeleza inethiwekhi ye-NAPP.”

UGqr Shaun Welman, umhlohli wenzululwazi yebhayoloji, uthe: “i-NAPP indivule amehlo  kwinkcubeko yase-UCT kwaye ndibone ukuba isebenza njani ngaphakathi ngesigunyaziso esigxile kumfundi. Eyona nto inkulu kukungabi nazimvo zangaphambili malunga nawe okanye ngabafundi bakho. Fundisa into ephambi kwakho, hayi le uyilindeleyo.”
