Celebrating UCT’s Global impact in sustainable development

The University of Cape Town (UCT) has made a significant leap in global rankings, being placed 77th worldwide and 7th for partnerships for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings of 2024.

Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Internationalisation, Professor Jeff Murugan, shares insights into how UCT’s work aligns with Vision 2030, emphasisng the university’s role as a global player in knowledge production and its commitment to equitable partnerships through networks like the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA).
