The University of Cape Town (UCT) has adopted a new digital learning platform, naming it Amathuba: opportunities, chances, openings and prospects. Aligned to UCT’s Vision 2030 pillar of excellence, the new platform is significant to shaping the future of digitally enabled education and enhancing learner experience.

Amathuba is an intuitive and easy-to-use learning platform that supports a wide range of teaching modes. With powerful communication and assessment features, the platform will help students stay on top of their work and help lecturers know how students are doing. It comes with a mobile app, enhanced analytics, and comprehensive accessibility support for students with disabilities.
