Speaking at the third Vision 2030 virtual staff engagement, DVC for Teaching and Learning, Associate Professor Lis Lange discussed the massive transformative purpose under UCT’s proposed Vision 2030 to “unleash students' potential through education to be resilient agents of change for themselves and in society”.

Over a series of six staff engagements starting on July 28, UCT’s executive unpacked the proposed vision 203 0initiative, engaging with staff to hear their input. Staff from UCT’s Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Law, Information & Communication Technology Services, the Registrar’s office, Human Resources, Development & Alumni Department, Baxter Theatre and UCT Libraries were invited to the third session.

These virtual roadshows presented the Vision 2030 framework conceptualised by over 100 participants, including UCT’s academic and professional, administrative support and service (PASS) staff. The Vision 2030 roadshows allowed all sectors of UCT staff to engage with the strategy, ask questions, give feedback and discuss practical solutions for achieving UCT’s Vision 2030.
