Two Oceans Marathon and its impact on UCT
The annual Two Oceans Marathon will take place from Friday, 10 April, to Sunday, 12 April 2026, with various road closures planned in the vicinity of the University of Cape Town (UCT). In addition, the finish line for the ultra and half marathons will be located on UCT’s Green Mile, on upper campus.

Annual Bongani Mayosi Memorial Lecture
The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS), in partnership with the Bongani Mayosi Foundation, will host the next Bongani Mayosi Memorial Lecture on Friday, 23 January 2026. The lecture will be delivered by Dr Lehana Thabane, professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University in Canada. He will speak on the theme “Fostering evidence-based humanity in the academy and beyond”.
