The Centre for Theatre, Dance & Performance Studies at the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Little Theatre will stage Jackï Job’s And then… from 29 November to 4 December.

Dubbed “a journey of insatiable desire”, the production portrays the desires – sometimes unconventional – that we keep beneath the surface, often in secret.

The original work was conceived by Job and will be performed in her signature innovative dance language, in close collaboration with pianist José Dias. Owen Manamela-Mogane co-stars on stage.

The “nuanced stratums of desire” have been evoked in the costumes by Lesiba Mabitsela and Julia Brewis, and in the set by Bridie Bird and lighting by Shamiel Abrahams, giving this production an “other-worldly” immersive experience. The stage manager is Richard White.

Tickets are R100 for adults and R50 for students and pensioners.
