The secret to his success

09 December 2002
WHEN Lucky Busizi graduates with Honours in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management (FAPM) this week, it will be his second trip to the UCT graduation stage.

Though currently on holiday, he is in the process of mapping out his future.

"I am thinking about continuing my studies and doing my Masters in finance. I enjoy studying but I am also seriously considering the job offers and opportunities I have received," he says.

Busizi is a UCT success story. After arriving at the University five years ago with no financial funding for his first year and very little understanding of English, he has managed to finish his undergraduate ADP-assisted BCom degree in record time and has secured funding from two major international corporate sponsors.

Talking about his success, Busizi says: "I like what I study. Besides the job opportunities, I like the knowledge it gives me. I think that is why I have done well."
