The Love Boat rocks the Intimate Theatre

13 August 2007

Jungle Theatre Company's new play The Love Boat runs at the Intimate Theatre on the Michaelis campus from 10 to 18 August.

The play, described as a hilarious and intriguing action comedy that could even be perceived as a tragic-comedy, was written by Marika Lelani Williams, who is launching her career as a professional writer.

She brings to life the fantastic love story between an interracial couple played by Marika Lelani Williams and Nelson Chilese Musonda, both Jungle Theatre trainees.

The Love Boat is directed by Jungle Theatre's Vincent Meyburgh and is born out of Jungle Theatre Company's style of mime and clocking techniques obtained from conventional clowning. All shows start at 20h15, and tickets cost R40, while students pay R25.

Bookings can be made between 09h00 and 12h00 at telephone 021 788 5641 or email info@jungletheatre.co.za.
