Healing documentary

Psychology department's Dr Helgo Schomer will feature in a 30-minute television documentary, The Healing Power of Nature, on SABC3 on Sunday, October 15, at 18h30. Schomer works with AIDS carers and those who have been victims of trauma.

Trampled at the Little Theatre

Trampled will be playing in the Intimate Theatre from October 9 to 28. Directed by UCT alumnus Greg Karvellas, the play is not for the faint hearted. It is a power hour of performance by two of South Africa's top young talents.

The publicity material reads: "It had the power, and all the rest. With Luke, (as in Ellenbogen), dragged up and going as black he plays a powerful woman ready to attack. It's AIDS and corruption tackled head on. Yet it's heavy and funny, don't get us wrong. Tinarie Van Wyk Loots brings to Trampled a whole lot of class,......so don't pass! This play is a must.....written in rhyme.... hip hop time...... The Intimate brings you close, you will touch the story. The tale is rough and sometimes gory, but hey! it's topical and very real for SA." Bookings on 082 846 3818.

Que-Tropha cancelled

The play Que Tropha, which had been scheduled to run from October 5 to 7, was regrettably postponed to a later date in the year due to circumstances beyond the cast's control. Any inconvenience is sincerely regretted. Details of the new dates will be made available at a later stage.
