UCT names four new distinguished teachers

01 December 2003
UCT has added four new distinguished teachers to its fold.

Dr Peter Berman (chemical pathology), Dr David Gammon (chemistry), Associate Professor Brad Liebl (music) and Assoc Professor Graham Louw (anatomy and cell biology) have been named as the recipients of the 2003 distinguished teachers awards in recognition of their teaching excellence. The four met with previous winners at the annual distinguished teachers' dinner at the GSB in early November.

The award acknowledges the primary place of teaching and learning in the work of the university, and the names of the winners are announced formally at the appropriate graduation ceremony in December. A prize of R10 000 is attached to the award.
