Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Science in Actuarial Sciences from the University of Cape Town (UCT), Emily Yunzhao Wang marks the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and unforgettable experiences. As she dons a traditional Chinese qipao for the occasion, Emily reflects on the late nights, the inspiring community at UCT and the small moments that will stay with her forever, like the comforting routine of studying in the library or climbing the campus stairs each day.
Now working as an actuarial analytics consultant while pursuing a master's part-time, Yunzhao Wang is driven by the mentorship she's received from those ahead of her in the field, all UCT alumni.
