The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Children’s Institute brought together policymakers, researchers, practitioners and young activists to confront the intersecting crises of violence against women and children at the launch of the 2025 South African Child Gauge on 4 November 2025.
The report highlights how siloed services and fragmented data obscure the lived realities of survivors, reinforcing the need for integrated, gender-transformative approaches across the country’s social and legal systems.
