University of Cape Town (UCT) staff members who are 35+ years old received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Pinelands Emergency Medical Services site on Tuesday, 3 August 2021.
In an effort to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, UCT set up a community vaccination site at the Forest Hill residence complex, encouraging all eligible staff and students to get vaccinated. The site is also open to all eligible members of the public.
