Highest honour for distinguished UCT teacher

Conference relooks at marginalised and overlooked African heritage
The University of Cape Town (UCT) along with UNESCO, the African World Heritage Fund and the University College London’s (UCL) Bartlett School of Architecture this week hosted the “Symposium on Modern Heritage of Africa (MoHoA)” to address, among other things, the challenges in defining modern heritage of, and in, Africa which is often overlooked and marginalised in literature and global records.

UCT to host landmark event acknowledging land cleansing ceremony
The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Faculty of Humanities will host a Heritage Month Colloquium virtually on Wednesday, 29 September 2021 from 17:30 to 18:30. The colloquium, titled Unburning the Fire & Acknowledgment of Land Cleansing Ceremony , is a celebration of the research and knowledge production of the new San and Khoi Centre in its first year.
