Vote in the 2025/26 SRC elections

Dear students

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) elections for the 2025/2026 term are under way with the voting period commencing from 25 to 26 September 2025.

Voting takes place online. Polls have opened at 00:01 on 25 September and will close at 23:59 on 26 September 2025.

• Cast your vote.

All University of Cape Town (UCT) students are encouraged to cast their vote and help shape the future of student governance at the university.

Please also note that the SRC Elections Carnival is scheduled for Thursday, 25 September 2025 from 12:00 to 14:00 at the Plaza on upper campus. Students can find out more, ask questions and celebrate student democracy in action.

Candidates are reminded to follow the rules. Candidates are not allowed to campaign during the voting days; and door-to-door campaigning is not permitted in residences. Harassment, intimidation or invading student spaces without consent is strictly prohibited.

If any student notices any misconduct, they can report it by filling out the complaints form.
