UCT autumn graduation: Celebrating over 6000 graduands
The University of Cape Town will hold its autumn graduation ceremonies from Saturday, 28 March to Thursday, 2 April 2026. Across five days, we will confer degrees on approximately 6 185 graduands from all faculties, including those completing doctoral studies.

Restoring financial stability at UCT
The 2025 financial year saw the University of Cape Town (UCT) achieve a 1% surplus of approximately R50 million on its general operating budget (GOB), an achievement rendered even more important after the university endured three unprecedented years of budget deficits (R118 million in 2022, R350 million in 2023 and R193 million in 2024).
