Dear colleagues
I am pleased to invite individual academics, teams or departments to apply for the 2025 University of Cape Town (UCT) Teaching Innovation and Curriculum Change Grant. This grant supports initiatives that align with UCT’s Vision 2030 and aim to enhance teaching at the university.
The grant is intended to fund projects or teams that are involved in teaching practices, the design or redesign of curricula or courses, and improvements to student learning. This can include the development of digital learning materials for blended or online learning, as well as the creation of open educational resources.
A limited number of grants of up to R40 000 are available to support such projects.

The Teaching Awards and Grants sub-committee, a sub-committee of the Senate Teaching and Learning Committee, will oversee the application process.
