UCT wins Golden Key Award

UCT has won a Golden Key Award for Excellence in Internationalisation at the 13th annual conference of the International Education Association of South Africa (IEASA), hosted by the University of Fort Hare. The honour recognises outstanding performance in various aspects of internationalisation at South African tertiary institutions, and is a joint initiative between IEASA and the Golden Key International Honour Society, which has a chapter at UCT. UCT won second prize in the category of international students as a percentage of total student registrations. The award came with a R3 000 prize. Rhodes University finished top in the category while the University of Fort Hare came third. In picture, Dr Loveness Kaunda, Director of the International Academic Programmes Office (IAPO), holds the Golden Key certificate won by UCT.
