Konrad-Adenauer fellowship

German political foundation The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is once again funding an internship programme, which is run by the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), in conjunction with the University of Witwatersrand.

Successful candidates can enroll for a master's degree (by coursework) in international relations, political science or journalism, while working for the SAIIA. They will receive a full bursary (including residence) and a small monthly allowance.

Interested applicants must be older than 30 years, and should send their applications to Nauma Grobbelaar, the Deputy Director of Studies at SAIIA, PO Box 31596, Braamfontein 2017. These can be faxed to (011) 339-2154, or e-mailed to saiiagen@global.co.za

Applications must include:

  • a letter of motivation
  • a full CV
  • written references
  • June results and academic transcripts of previous degrees, and
  • Done example of written work not exceeding 3 000 words on a topic of choice.
