Used sports gear wanted for good homes

26 August 2002
DO YOU have any redundant sports gear collecting in your garage or strangling your cupboard contents? Why not consider donating it to a worthy cause?

Ed Cutten works in sport development in rural areas and is looking for any surplus gear. He has placed a collection bin at the UCT Sports Administration Office and will ensure that all items are refurbished and put to good use. Items required include:

  • Cricket: bats, balls, boots, bails, boxes, gloves, hats, helmets, pads, wickie kits, wickets;
  • Soccer: boots, balls, shin pads;
  • Rugby: boots, balls, jerseys;
  • Hockey: boots, balls, shin pads, sticks, goalie gear;
  • Netball: bibs, balls;
  • Baseball: bats, balls, gloves, protective gear;
  • Dance: clothes, shoes.
Any sporting footwear and clothing, no matter what size, will be put to good use, Cutten added. (Should you wish to contact him, his cell number is 082 352 0053.)
