The University of Cape Town (UCT) launched the Community of Hope Vaccination Centre at its Forest Hill residence on 30 August 2021. The centre will serve the university staff and students and the broader public as a resource for the Western Cape Department of Health.
Those in attendance included Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde, UCT Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mamokgethi Phakeng, Western Cape MEC for Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo, and a few UCT staff and students who received their first COVID-19 vaccinations at the site.
If you are 18+ years old you need to register on the official South African COVID-19 Vaccination Programme portal.
The UCT Community of Hope Vaccination Centre can be accessed from Broad Road in Mowbray. For all the latest COVID-19 information, visit UCT’s COVID-19 update page.
