University of Cape Town (UCT) Vice-Chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng honoured the work and lives of Black Sash stalwarts during a luncheon at Glenara on 19 May.
The Black Sash is a South African human rights organisation advocating for social justice in South Africa. It was founded in 1955 as a non-violent resistance organisation for liberal white women.
