The University of Cape Town’s (UCT) Office for Inclusivity & Change (OIC), in collaboration with the prolific scholar in critical race theory Professor Rozena Maart, will be hosting an online seminar tackling issues of race, racism and coloniality.

The virtual seminar, “What is racism and how does it operate in society today?”, will take place on 3 and 4 February 2020.

Professor Maart will examine a broad range of concepts to generate discussion; set the basis for developing a language to address racism and coloniality; and develop analytical tools through which, and with which, to think, analyse and write on events marked by racism and coloniality.
