Dear students and colleagues,
While the firefighters were doing the dangerous work against the Cape Town Fire, members of the University of Cape Town (UCT) community were also doing their part: assisting with the evacuation, giving their time and energy to volunteer and fundraising efforts, and finding other ways to help and encourage one another.
Many of you have stories to tell about that can encourage and inspire us – not only immediately during and after the fire but in the days thereafter. These stories might be about something you did, or about something others did that impressed you. Maybe you would like to say Thank You to someone for what they did for you or others. No matter how big or how small, we would like to hear your part of the experience.
Please email your stories, photos and videos to email@example.com, with your name and contact details. The Communication & Marketing Department will compile them into a collection that will be accessible to the public. Telling your story can also be an important part of the recovery process for the UCT community.
We look forward to hearing from you.
