Dear Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng,
We saw the news this morning of the terrible fires that have caused havoc and destruction at the University of Cape Town, and the surrounding area of Table Mountain. We understand that the Rondebosch campus has been impacted, but we hope that all your students and staff are safe.
The VUB Community just wanted to send you a note of support, and know that the University of Cape Town’s staff and students are in our thoughts today.
We hope the emergency services will get a handle on the situation very soon.
