UCT's statement on final exams
The UCT final exams will start on Wednesday, 15 November 2017 and conclude on 30 November 2017. Exam sessions will stretch throughout the day and into the early evening. Multiple sessions will run with thousands of students writing different exams each day.

University of Cape Town academic Professor Heather Zar has been announced as the 2018 L'Oreal-UNESCO Women in Science Laureate for Africa and the Arab States. This is in recognition of her wide-ranging contributions to child health, which have improved - and saved - children's lives across the globe, as well as helping to shape international policy.
