Council adopts independent panel of investigation report

Dear members of the UCT campus community

The University of Cape Town (UCT) Council has adopted the independent panel of investigation report on governance matters at UCT. Council acknowledges the past governance failures. We regret not acting sooner and apologise unreservedly. We are considering the report recommendations and will act to fix the areas concerned, course correct, and restore the public’s confidence in UCT. We thank current and former staff as well as Council and Senate members who acted with courage and integrity.
