Amathuba update: new course evaluations system

15 June 2023

Dear students and colleagues

As we continue our course migration to the University of Cape Town’s (UCT) new digital learning platform, Amathuba, we are writing to share with you exciting news about the upcoming implementation of the university’s new course evaluations system, which will seamlessly integrate with Amathuba.

Through a meticulous tender process, Explorance Blue was carefully selected to be UCT’s new course evaluations platform. This new system, with add-ons Blue Text Analytics and Blue Dashboard, will help transform the way we run course evaluations, providing a streamlined and user-friendly experience for both students and faculty members.

The launch of the new system is planned for the latter half of the second semester, ensuring that we gather comprehensive feedback and insights to further improve our educational offerings. We are committed to fostering an environment that values student input and continuously strives for excellence in teaching and learning.

To support this transition, the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT) continues to provide training opportunities for teaching teams, administrative staff and tutors. These sessions enable those teaching on courses being migrated to fully utilise the features and capabilities of Amathuba, including the course evaluations system once it is implemented.

We thank you for your ongoing support as we embark on this transformative journey with Amathuba. We firmly believe that this modern digital learning platform will transform collaboration, engagement, and innovation within our educational spaces.

Wishing you continued success in your teaching and learning endeavors.
