In Remembrance: Siviwe Cingo

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our postgraduate student, Mr Siviwe Cingo (32), on Friday, 2 June 2023 following an illness.
Mr Cingo, who was a PhD student in the School of Education, is remembered for being passionate about his studies. He inspired those who interacted with him, no matter how brief they had known him. He will be fondly remembered as a selfless, kind, and friendly person who loved his craft.
Mr Cingo is survived by his wife, Nodumo; children Khanya, Soyama, Akhumzi and QiQa; brother, China; and sister, Ayanda.
His funeral took place on Saturday, 10 June, in Bizana, Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Cingo family, and our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew Mr Cingo.
