Update on teaching and learning

Dear colleagues and students
The University of Cape Town (UCT) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has indicated that it intends to continue with protests today, 17 February 2022, despite the fact that all of their demands have now been met.
The university will not be closing and the start of the academic year will not be suspended.
Where possible teaching will continue online. Confrontation with protesting students should be avoided.
We greatly appreciate the endurance and commitment of all our staff and students at this difficult time.
