Apply for Falling Walls Lab 2026

Applications are now open for Falling Walls Lab Cape Town 2026. 

Students and early-career researchers from the University of Cape Town (UCT) are invited to apply for Falling Walls Lab Cape Town 2026, an international pitch competition showcasing breakthrough ideas addressing global challenges. The Cape Town Lab will take place on 6 August 2026 at the Hasso Plattner School of Design Thinking Afrika (d-school Afrika), where participants present their research, innovation or initiative in just three minutes. The winner will advance to the global finale in Berlin, Germany. Applications close on 12 June 2026.
