Staff survey on remote teaching and learning

09 June 2021 | DVC A/Prof Lis Lange

Dear colleagues

The University of Cape Town (UCT) is taking part in a national survey on staff experiences of and perspectives on remote emergency teaching and learning (RETL) and its future. The survey is being run by the Council on Higher Education, Universities South Africa and the University of the Free State.

This survey focuses on:

  • your experiences as lecturer / university teacher / academic leader during remote teaching and learning; and
  • your perspectives on how teaching and learning will change as a result of the pandemic and what support you might need to adapt to such changes.

We are particularly interested in the level and type of support that was provided to you by the institution and how we could improve this support for teaching staff.

If you are willing to share your experiences and thoughts, please complete the survey.

The survey will close on 30 June 2021. We will provide a report back to the UCT community on both the national and institutional outcomes. If you have any questions on the survey, please contact daniela.gachago@uct.ac.za.

Sincerely

Associate Professor Lis Lange
Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning
