Staff survey on emergency remote teaching

19 August 2020 | DVC A/Prof Lis Lange

Dear colleagues

I hope that you and your families are well. As we continue working on remote teaching in this second semester, it is important to understand what went well during the second term, what did not, and what we have learnt from this experience.

We have already conducted a survey of the student experience under emergency remote teaching, which has been very useful in guiding our thinking and improving aspects of our practices, both in the classroom and at management level during the second half of the year.

In a similar vein, we would like to hear about your experiences of emergency remote teaching from a strict teaching and learning perspective, including insights into your personal experiences of this way of working. The survey is addressed to all academic staff and to professional, administrative support and service (PASS) staff working in academic units. I encourage you to complete the survey.

Complete the UCT Staff Experience Survey for Term 2, 2020.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well for the rest of the second semester and to thank you for your ongoing contributions to UCT’s teaching and learning effort.

With best wishes

Associate Professor Lis Lange
Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning
