Inclusive Practice Speaker Series and other updates

24 January 2020 | Campus Announcement

Dear students and colleagues

This campus announcement aims to inform members of the University of Cape Town (UCT) community about:

1. Inclusive Practice Speaker Series

Western Cape universities are co-hosting an Inclusive Practice Speaker Series this year, with UCT hosting the first public seminar in the series at 14:30 on 3 February. The series will bring together practitioners, scholars and civil society organisations to share leading practice that is provoking new ways of doing and thinking about transformation.

2. Campus Life 2020

The digital edition of Campus Life 2020 is now available. The magazine is packed with information about services, studies and life at UCT, making it an indispensable guide for all first-time students on campus.

3. ICTS scheduled maintenance on Sunday, 26 January

Please note that there will be an Information and Communication Technology Services (ICTS) scheduled maintenance slot on Sunday, 26 January, from 09:00 to 17:00. Unless advised to the contrary, do not expect any ICT services to be available for the duration of the maintenance slot. Please remember to consult the list of ICTS scheduled maintenance slots before planning any teaching, conferences, meetings, etc that require ICT services.

4. Update on executive appointments

There have been some developments regarding appointments at the Leadership Lekgotla level. One substantive appointment and two new acting appointments have been made, while the tenure of two colleagues has been extended.
