Student Wellness Service digital booking system and other updates

01 March 2019

Dear students and colleagues

This campus announcement aims to inform members of the University of Cape Town community about:

1. DSA Student Wellness Service digital booking system

The Department of Student Affairs (DSA) Student Wellness Service has introduced an online booking system to facilitate greater access to its various services and to enable students to book appointments at a time that is convenient for them. The platform can also be used to cancel a booking or reschedule to a different date, time and location. From 1 March 2019 the online booking system is available on the DSA Student Wellness Service website and also on the UCT app.

2. Pitch your business idea

The Pitch is a student initiative run by the Academic Representatives Council that gives UCT students the chance to pitch their business or business idea to four successful entrepreneurs. At stake is a chance to win R25 000 and six months’ worth of mentorship. Applications close on 15 March 2019 at 16:00.

3. Cape Town Cycle Tour 2019 networking lounge

The UCT Development and Alumni Department (DAD) invites all UCT staff members who will be cycling in the 2019 Cape Town Cycle Tour on Sunday, 10 March 2019, to join them for complimentary refreshments. The UCT suite is located inside the corporate hospitality enclosure at the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point. Guests will also be able to meet the UCT cycling team and will have the opportunity to relax and network with UCT alumni. You can select one of three hospitality sessions:
