Women of UCT's Graduate School of Business (GSB) made a big showing at this year's Businesswomen's Association (BWA) Regional Business Achiever Awards on 27 May, with some formidable achievers walking away from the annual event with top honours.

Elaine Rumboll, GSB's director of executive education, won top spot in the professional category, while MBA graduate Ariella Kuper was the victor in the corporate category. Jane Notten, managing director of GSB's public relations partner, Rothko, was a finalist in the entrepreneur section.

The event paid tribute to the Western Cape's most inspiring and successful businesswomen from the past year.

"Winning anything happens in a context," said Rumboll. "I am really privileged for the opportunity given to me by the GSB to run executive education like an innovation lab, and for the extraordinary support my team has given me."
