The UKRI GCRF* Accelerating Achievement for Africa’s Adolescents Hub (Accelerate Hub) within the Centre for Social Science Research at the University of Cape Town (UCT) will be hosting an exciting webinar on Thursday, 4 February, on making adolescent inclusion the heart of the COVID-19 response.

Throughout 2020 the Accelerate Hub hosted a series of webinars to explore the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on a multitude of factors related to research design, adolescents and more. As part of their virtual annual meeting, they will be hosting an international webinar on COVID-19 and adolescents, featuring presentations from leading experts around the world.

Panellists include, among others, Professor Salim S Abdool Karim, the head of South Africa’s ministerial advisory committee on COVID-19; Dr Priscilla Idele, the deputy director of UNICEF’s Office of Research – Innocenti; and Professor Lucie Cluver, an honorary professor in psychiatry and mental health at UCT and the principal investigator at the Accelerate Hub.
