University of Cape Town (UCT) student entrepreneurs who want to take their business ideas to the next level are invited to take part in Student Entrepreneurship Week 2020 (#SEW2020) from 7 to 11 September.

The week-long event provides an opportunity for students to fine-tune their entrepreneurial skills and mindsets and learn more about what it takes to become a successful business owner.

#SEW2020 is a collaboration between the UCT Careers Service, the UCT Graduate School of Business Solution Space, the UCT d-school, Research Contracts and Innovation, and the Properties and Services department.

A range of events, including a panel discussion with successful entrepreneurs, will take place throughout the week, covering everything from how to develop sustainable and scalable businesses to the basics of intellectual property. Students will also be introduced to the basics of design thinking and can take part in a future-of-work boot camp.

#SEW2020 will be followed by the Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Lekgotla from 14 to 18 September 2020.
