The Council on Higher Education (CHE) has issued a new communique (April 2026) confirming the implementation of the themed review on modes of learning and teaching provision, and the conclusion of the COVID-19 era concession on delivery modes.

New requirement: Eight-week notice for doctoral thesis submission
From May 2026, all doctoral candidates will be required to upload their intention to submit documents to PeopleSoft at least eight weeks before they are permitted to upload their thesis for examination.
