In Remembrance: Siphokazi Noncedo Mabentsela

It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Ms Siphokazi Noncedo Mabentsela (47), on 4 November 2022 due to natural causes.
She joined the University of Cape Town (UCT) as a Campus Protection Services (CPS) officer in November 2017.
Colleagues have described her as a down-to-earth person who was assertive in her role. She played a sisterly role to those around her and displayed maturity and experience in what she did.
Ms Mabentsela is survived by her two children, Sesethu and Akho.
She was laid to rest on Saturday, 12 November 2022 in Embulu village, Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Mabentsela family, and our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew her.
