In remembrance: Nokubonga Madikane

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Ms Nokubonga Madikane (42), on Friday, 15 July 2022.
Ms Madikane joined the University of Cape Town in April 2011 and worked as a campus cleaner in the Properties and Services team.
Colleagues will remember her as a friendly person who was dedicated to her work.
Ms Madikane is survived by her parents and three children; Akhule, Onika and Mibongo. She also leaves behind three sisters, one brother and a grandchild.
She will be laid to rest on Saturday, 6 August in Tsomo, Eastern Cape.
The university has reached out to offer support to the Madikane family and our sincere condolences go out to them and all who knew and loved her during this time of bereavement.
