Khusela Ikamva Sustainable Campus Project

23 May 2022

Dear colleagues

At its meeting in March 2022, the UCT Council decided to support the Khusela Ikamva (Secure the Future) Sustainable Campus Project. Khusela Ikamva is a trans-disciplinary collaborative effort to set the university as a ‘Living Lab’ and and maximise its reach and impact.

This exciting project will see staff and students across all spheres of campus collaborate, seeing research evolve into implementation of real projects on campus.

All members of staff are urged to become an ambassador and pledge support for the environmental sustainability project. For those that wish to make a donation to the project, this will be highly appreciated.

As staff pledge to be ambassadors, they also have a chance to wear that commitment with pride in one of our beautifully branded Vision 2030 t-shirts.

The Vision 2030 T-shirt collection details are as follows:

When: Monday, 23 May to Friday, 27 May 2022
Time: 08:00 to 16:00
Where: Protea Bookshop, Chemistry Lane, Steve Biko Building, Upper Campus.

A valid UCT staff card is required to confirm eligibility. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, fittings and/or exchanges will regrettably not be allowed.
