I write to invite you to a webinar with one of South Africa’s leading experts on social media law, Emma Sadleir, who will address “The legal, disciplinary, and reputational risks of social media in learning institutions”.

Sadleir’s areas of expertise include all aspects of print and electronic media law, with a particular focus on defamation, privacy and social media law.

She founded the Digital Law Company, which specialises in educating and advising corporates, employees, schools, parents, teachers and universities on the legal, disciplinary and reputational risks of social media.

She is co-author of the book Don’t Film Yourself Having Sex… And Other Legal Advice for the Age of Social Media, published in 2014; and the co-author of the social media section of the legal textbook Communications Law, published in 2015. Her most recent book Selfies, Sexts and Smartphones: A Teenager’s Online Survival Guide, was published in 2017.
