In remembrance: Linda Hartman

It is with a deep sense of sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Mrs Linda Hartman (60), on 25 July 2021.
Mrs Hartman was a senior administrative officer in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Faculty of Health Sciences. She was a loyal, long-serving staff member who joined UCT in January 1982 as a typist and worked her way up the ranks. Her career path was testimony to her hardworking character.
After just a few years of working at UCT, Mrs Hartman was part of the team that helped create the South African Medicines Formulary. She was someone who enjoyed being around students and will be dearly missed by all who knew and interacted with her.
The unfortunate delay in issuing this notice is due to a request from the family. The university has been in contact with Mrs Hartman’s family and offered our support during their time of grief.
