In remembrance: Yandiswa Wendy Ntoyanto

29 October 2021

Dear colleagues and students

It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of our colleague, Ms Yandiswa Wendy Ntoyanto (40), on Wednesday, 20 October 2021 due to COVID-19 related complications.

She worked as a reconciliation clerk in the Finance Department.

Ms Ntoyanto joined the university in November 2006. She will be remembered as someone who always had a smile and for how she loved to sing in the morning as soon as she arrived at work. She had a strong personality and was not scared to speak her mind.

She was much loved by her team as well as her friends. Her friendly demeanour, her infectious laugh and easy-going bright personality will be missed.

She is survived by her mother, her partner Khaya, daughter Nikilitha and son Khanyisele.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, 30 October in Khayelitsha.

The university has reached out to offer support to the Ntoyanto family, and our heartfelt condolences go out to them and all who knew our late colleague.

Sincerely

The UCT Executive
