I watched the images of a burning library at UCT with horror. A burning library touches us in a bad place – even when the tyranny is caused by nature and her forces.

My thoughts are with you and your colleagues at UCT as you manage through this terrible event. I do hope that the loss is minimal and that the archive has not been too badly affected.
